Listen live!
Neal Kwort is an award-winning ASE Certified Master Auto Technician and the holder of 25 ASE certifications. Neal did everything from lube tech to owner in the three decades he spent in the automotive repair business. "I closed that chapter in my life when I sold my company. I retired from the field on February 28, 2006 and I have no regrets. Now it’s time to pass on what I’ve learned over those thirty years to the next generation of auto tech."
Currently, Neal spends his work time as an automotive instructor at Baran Institute of Technology, a technical school.
Neal has been helping people on the air with their automotive problems since 1993. A graduate of The Connecticut School of Broadcasting in 1978, Neal "The Wheal," as he’s known to the listeners and the broadcast industry, has been on many radio stations in Massachusetts and Connecticut.
The Neal’s Wheals Car Care Show is a different kind of a car-talk program. "I’ve always made great efforts to do things differently. My job, as I see it, is to keep the show informative and entertaining. There are others out there that exploit the forum for use as a sales tool and still others that want to make light of people’s problems and that’s all good. Because people have varied interests and tastes, they will tune in to whatever they like to listen to. But for me, I’ve always been a helper. I love to help people. My mission and my purpose for being on the air is to ease the mind of the caller and to educate and entertain the listener. That’s what my show is all about."
Web Developer's disclaimer.... The music(?) that you hear on this page was written by NEAL, . . who also sung lead and played harmonica on it. I take no responsibility for any hearing damage or culture shock incurred by listening to "All the Cats are Crusin'".
